Farm paddock grass

Farm paddock grass study of

New Zealand Organic Seaweed Fertiliser

 Here is a study of New Zealand Organic Seaweed fertiliser using grass from a New Zealand farm. In the pictures are two control
test trays of ryegrass, no fertiliser (black) and a fertilised tray (blue).The blue tray was watered using a 1 to 40 mix of fertiliser once
every two weeks for approximately six to eight weeks. Both were left out in their natural climate with ample water,
as this would be their usual growing conditions.
  The trays were tested at the beginning for pH , Nitrogen , Phosphorus , Potassium/Potash and were tested again every two consecutive months.

The start of the test

The control test tray for Seaweed fertiliser
pH = 6.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 0
11 , August, 2018 , Winter

The control test tray for water, no fertiliser
pH = 6.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 0
11 , August, 2018 , Winter

Both trays watered over a two month period

 Notice the seaweed tray is richer, and a brighter green in colour. Plus the pH has neutralized from an acidic 6.0
to a cool neutral 7.0 also the (potassium/potash) has increased from 0 to a noticeable 1
  All other nitrogen and phosphorus readings are 0 as from the beginning of the test.

Fertilised test tray
pH = 7.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 1

Water only
pH = 6.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 0
09, october, 2018 , Spring

Both trays left for a further two month period unwatered

 The seaweed tray is far exceeding the water only tray, much more grass mass, larger leaves, bigger shoots
and a richer stronger soil structure. The promotion of endophyte is obvious with the seaweed.
All pH and N.P.K readings are the same as last tested

Water only                                                            Water only

 pH = 6.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 0

The two trays after 6 months

 The seaweed tray is still very full with large bright green leaves and a rich strong soil structure,
now would be a great time to re-fertilise this grass to revitalise the leaves and soil.

 Fertilised test tray

 pH = 6-7 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 0
03, February, 2019, Summer

The water only tray has produced shoots, but the lack of nutrients and the lack of endophyte have resulted
in the failure to produce new leaves and healthy growth from this grass.

just water.

After two weeks

Conclusion and Recommendation

Both trays BLUE and BLACK were starting to lack in nutrients ( 03,February, 2019 ),
so have now been watered with New Zealand Oragnic Seaweed Fertiliser.

After two weeks they have both began to prosper and produce rich full leaves and are both showing
good signs of endophyte .

The BLACK tray has began to revive and grow again and is improving.

The BLUE tray has trippled its leaf growth and is prospering after one dose of seaweed fertiliser
and two weeks out in its natural environment as of this study of farm grass.

The fertiliser has made a noticable difference to the grass on both the BLUE and BLACK trays

and as a conclusion the fertilised BLUE tray has bulit up enough vitamins and minerals to sustain healthy farm grass
(with a neutral pH and low N.P.K reading)
that will now prosper with only a 4-6 month single application of seaweed fertiliser.

So is the end of this study of New Zealand Organic Seaweed Fertilser on farmland grass.

New Zealand Organic Seaweed Fertiliser

 pH = 7.0 , N = 0 , P = 0 , K = 1
 17, February, 2019, Summer

This study was done with no more than 3 applications of seaweed fertiliser
which is the optimum amount of fertiliser for a 1 year appliction

For practical application on large farm grassland with animals (horses,cows and sheep etc..)
